Pimping out a game! (Cross posted to ~venizia - apologies if you see this twice)
So, I just joined ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) enchantedmod! It's basically an original fantasy game based around Gail Carson Levine's Ella Enchanted universe- this includes Fair and The Two Princess of Bamarre. However! You totally don't have to have read the books to join-- most of what you need to know can be found in the mod journal.
There are a few wanted characters listed here, and we're looking for anybody, really. I play Abigail Hall-- I think it'd be really neat to see her long-lost sister in play, or a friend who doesn't necessarily have to work in the brothel with her. I know the pub could always use extra help, or- well, anybody! The game won't start until we have a few more players, so I hope to see some of you there!

Cross posting this from my main journal- I'm sorry if you see this twice!
Are there any Draco players on my flist? Contentious [via contentiousmods] could really use one. Our Astoria player (not me) would really like to have one, especially with the appearance of Pansy, who seems to be wondering just why her relationship with Draco is off again! Contentious is a really awesome game-- I play Wayne Hopkins and Charlotte Rivers there. Charlotte would also love to see her brother, Dorian, if anybody's interested! Please let me know if you're interested!
And then, of course, there's Blurred Lines [via blurred_mods]. Persephone would love love love to have her brothers around. And of course we can use some more Hitwizards and Mediwizards and- well, anybody!
The Ministry [via the_mgmt] is also an amazing game! It's a lighter game and there are tons of characters available- I think it'd be awesome if y'all joined up. :)

Okay, so I've mentioned this in my CDJ, but there are a few people on this journal (mostly icon journals, I think) who aren't on my new f-list for some reason.
Anywho, is anybody here looking for a place to play Andromeda Tonks? Blurred Lines is looking for one, and there's plenty of opportunity to get her involved in game-wide plots and the like! Ted would love to have his wife around to flirt with. Let me know if you (or somebody you know!) might be interested! |

I have this really really random urge to write a female ginger Purist (preferably DE) at DSAW. I just can't pick a name or settle on a pb. Currently thinking Emilie Dequenne or Emma Stone or Karoline Herfurth (Herforth?) but I don't know if any of them look...off/tough/DE enough.

So, I spoke too soon. If I thought this week sucked, next week will be worse. Boss lady, genius that she is, just fired one of our front desk guys (admittedly, he's a bit of a fuck up anyways)-- but we're already short staffed. It looks like I'm going to be pulling overtime this week-- working Saturday and Sunday as well as my now-normal Monday-Friday.
Like I wasn't already sick of this place. I told them when I started that I didn't want to work more than three days a week and I've been working full time since I got here.
ETA: Managed to get Saturday and Sunday off, as well as one day during the week-- in exchange, I get to work 16 hours on Wednesday or Thursday. Ah, well.
Tax free weekend is this weekend; I think I may go clothes and school supply shopping this weekend. |

Two memes all over my flist--
1. Something borrowed, something blue...something like that. Give me one of your characters and one of mine and I will write you a short drabble (around 100 words) of what a marriage proposal could be like for them! Feel free to pick a current ship, complete crack, or even one we've played or discussed that out and I'll do a variation of sorts.
2. I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and I will answer it truthfully for them.

So I've been wanting to fic lately. So I thought I'd do that pick an album and write a fic/standalone for each song. I have no idea how many of these I'll actually do; the album has 12 tracks and I suppose it just depends on which characters of mine will actually let me write something for them. My girls are especially talkative, though, so I'll probably get something for each of them.

Holy fuck, I just met the Alkaline Trio. And I had no fucking clue who they were.
This amuses me for many, many reasons.
1. Nobody here knew who they were. I didn't, until I saw all the fancy cars picking them up and thought the name "Matthew Skiba" sounded vaguely familiar. So I googled. Whoa, stalker much?
2. Skiba is (online, at least) noted to be a card-carrying Satanist. My boss likes to claim that we are a "Christian Inn." Don't ask me what this means, because I sure as hell don't know.

Today I finally finished re-formatting and updating my current character list, as well as my current PSLs. I don't, however, have Darkening (which is closing this weekend), Mafiusi (which really is dead but I'm in denial because I miss my character too much) and a couple of inactive storylines posted anywhere. I'm not quite sure where I want to put them just yet. Ah, well.
And because I'm thinking about it--

So I was having a really crappy evening, until I was reminded of my love for the Swiss Guard. Honestly? I told dad back in December that the only thing the Queen's Guard has over the Pope's Swiss Guard is that the Queen has a marching band.
This happily proves me wrong.
Oh, and the Swiss Guard has a MySpace. Just click cancel if a password window pops up.
I so wish I could have fit one into my suitcase to take home with me. Instead, I had to settle for feeling like a stalker as I took paparazzi style pictures of my own. Ah, well. |

Here's What We'll Do

And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Dear Blurred Lines,
I just thought you should know that I had my first BL dream last night. Roman had a baby. And then he died and I was the only one she would go to without sobbing. And she'd cry and fuss and not let anybody else hold her and I'm still wondering why on earth Roman had a baby. Or why I was the only one she would come to. Because I wasn't her mama. And she had started to learn to speak, but then stopped with his death, but she would when it was only me and her around-- I mean, she wasn't spewing out grand soliloquys, but she had started to learn how to talk.
Of course, then I woke up to my phone ringing so I don't know what else happened.
I do remember my grandmother drank lots of scotch whiskey to get ready for all of this family stuff.
..Okay. Yeah, I have weird dreams sometimes. |

I think most of you have already seen this in my games, but for those of you that I have PSLs with, I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be away from the computer from tomorrow until Wednesday. My sister graduates and then I'm getting dragged off to the middle of nowhere, Arkansas to visit familyh. I'll be able to check my email, at the very least, and may or may not be able to catch tags. But after Wednesday, I'll be back and completely ready to play/write/whatnot!
